This gun box is built by special order only for those high competition customers who wish to install their own expensive full size spotting scope.
The compact spotting scope supplied with our other gun box models is really quite excellent in providing 10-60 X magnification and clarity of the target surface. It also dramatically increases the available storage space for handgun shooting accessories.
This being said, some high level competitors want to be able to quickly glance into an expensive full size spotting scope and immediately see where their .22 caliber bullet has hit the black surface of their official target at 50 yards.
We have been asked to make such a gun box available so we have created a CNC cut out which we can build upon and customize as required in the shop.
While full size spotting scopes can vary in design, shape and size, our gun box can be provided with a onboard storage space for a scope having an objective lens up to 100 mm (4 inches) and an overall length (including the lens covers) of 17 inches.

We do not provide a mounting bracket for installing a full size spotting scope in our gun boxes. This is something that really needs to be done to the owners preference with the spotting scope to be installed in hand on site. For your reference, we have included a photo of the fasttimesrods spotting scope bracket mounted on the inside of the flip up front of our gun box.
When building these specialty gun boxes, we can custom install the barrier piece which separates the spotting scope storage bay and the general storage space in behind the spotting scope.
This model for use with a large spotting scope has a whopping 9" of vertical clearance for your handguns within the gun box. This is important if you are using platform based hand conforming custom grips in conjunction with a large rail mounted optic on your handguns.
Our gun block within the tray holds 3 full sized optic equipped handguns.
Brand new for January of 2023, we have added slots in the base of the gun block which secures your handguns into the tray of the gun box. This allows you to easily move the position of the gun block within the tray to any location you may require for your specific application. This feature will immediately benefit those with large revolvers or those who have Pardini or Hammerli target pistols where the magazine well is in front of the trigger guard.
The capacity of the lower pass through storage space will be directly related to the space required for your full size spotting scope.
The fold up front on this model has two cabinet locks, (one on each end) in order to maximize and not interfere with the bracket for the full size spotting scope.
Please be reminded that the adjustable bracket for the full size spotting scope is not included with this purchase.
All of our gun boxes include a spring loaded "hold open clamp" to securely hold the flip up front in place if shooting outdoors on a windy day.
